West Country Lamb

Randall Parker Foods has launched a sustainably produced West Country Lamb range to be sold in Sainsbury's West Country stores.

The range was launched at the Sainsbury's Emersons Green branch, Bristol, on St Georges day. A town crier was on hand to ring out the news to shoppers, alongside farmers who explained the traditional methods of farming used.

Chefs in a portable kitchen cooked up free taster samples of the lamb and were on hand to give cookery tips and recipe suggestions.

"The West Country offers one of the best environments for natural lamb production, with a climate and landscape that ensures it supplies the earliest available top quality grass fed new season lamb," said Randall Parker's procurement director Juliet Davies.
