Quality Standard beef in Marriott promotion
English beef is to be promoted in all 53 of hotel chain Marriott’s UK outlets.
A ‘Sear Beef’ campaign featuring meat from Yorkshire and Cornwall will run in properties from Glasgow to Portsmouth between February 15 and March 31.
With a strapline ‘Great English beef tastes great’, Quality Standard beef will feature in dishes such as braised short ribs, braised beef cheek bolognaise, Thai beef salad and Moroccan beef skewers.
It is the second running of the Sear Beef campaign, but this time with more of a focus on creating a range of dishes out of cheaper cuts.
According to director of culinary development at Marriott Gregg Brown: “The promotion was so popular first time round that we felt we just had to run it again. Even though we’re trading in more challenging times now, with a focus on added value beef cuts we’re confident that it will be equally as successful.”
“It’s a great opportunity to get Quality Standard beef in front of the many thousands of diners eating in this national chain of hotels,” said EBLEX foodservice project manager, Hugh Judd.
“The more people that taste just how succulent, tender and tasty Quality Standard beef is, the more they will demand it in pubs, restaurants and hotels, as well as in the home,” he added.
