Pasty firm eyes further expansion
The West Cornwall Pasty Co is to expand its business and add another 15 shops and kiosks to its operation in 2010.
The company, which produces a range of pasties including steak, lamb and mint, pork and apple, and chicken balti, plans to create new outlets in Manchester, Nottingham, Twickenham and Bournemouth.
The company is also planning an extensive refurbishment programme in 2010 and the addition of new products to its range.
West Cornwall Pasty Co chief executive Richard Nieto said: "With so many high streets in towns and cities currently without a Cornish pasty shop, there is still so much potential for further growth in the UK. We aim to have 100 shops by 2012 and are well on the way to achieving this."
Last year, the company opened 14 new shops and kiosks across the UK.
