Cromer butcher launches charity DVD
Norfolk butcher Icarus Hines has produced a butchery and cookery DVD to raise money for a local children’s hospice.
The DVD gives customers a step-by-step guide on how to prepare and cook six of Hines’s favourite family recipes. He hopes to raise £10,000 by selling it for £5 in his Cromer and Sheringham shops; all the money raised goes directly to EACH children’s Hospice at Quidenham.
It follows his fundraising efforts in producing charity calendars each year from 2003 to 2006, which were popular with customers. Said Hines: “We were thrilled with the response to the calendars so we set ourselves the task of creating something even better this year.”
