Denesting dilemma solved for Findus
Following an extensive European search, frozen food supplier Findus Sweden has chosen Ixia to handle its trays and packs.
Findus needed a new denester to help boost capacity, as its existing system was proving both unreliable and incapable of handling coppice board trays. According to the company, the pneumatic Ixia IPP390 with its Snapdragon tooling proved to be the only denester on the market capable of accurately and efficiently handling coppice board trays and other pack types in various sizes. Other key benefits include robust, fully wash-down construction, simple design and consistent placement positioning.
Findus Sweden project manager Roland Berggren said: "Our previous machine needed constant operator supervision, while the new one is very user friendly and reliable. It was exceptionally easy to install and operatives only needed 15 minutes of training on it. The machine has improved efficiency, thanks to its special Snapdragon tooling system, which allows us to change over tray sizes tool-free in minutes."
Suitable for high-performance wash-down environments, the denesters can be supplied as stand-alone units or integrated into filling, tray-sealing and flow-wrapping machines.
