Champion of Champions

MTJ Extra's ultimate sausage competition, Champion of Champions sees award winning sausages compete to take the title of the UK's best banger.

The 2012 competition will take place on Sunday 7th October at the Yorkshire Event Centre as part of Butchers' Fair Autumn.

2010 Event
The 2010 Champion of Champions event, which takes award-winning sausages from across the UK and pitches them head-to-head, took place at Butchers’ Hall on Monday 25th October.

Simon Haigh, who runs Bolster Moor Farm Shop, took the title after beating off competition from 25 other champion sausages.

Simon, a previous winner of the competition in 2006, suffered a major set back earlier in the year when his business at Hinchcliffe Farm Shop, Huddersfield was destroyed in a fire.

However, the businessman bounced back with his new business at Bolster Moor, also in Huddersfield, and is now celebrating his success, which he puts down to teamwork.
