National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham.The winners of the 2012 Meat & Poultry Processing Awards were announced at a glittering awards ceremony on Monday 26th March at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham.
The awards were hosted by Meat Trades Journal’s editor, Ed Bedington, with entertainment from comedian Josh Widdecombe.Moy Park were named the Processing Business of the Year 2012. Judges said that whilst Moy Park is one of the UK’s largest food processors, it still maintains a strong focus on ensuring its operations deliver across the board. A strong supporter of its various local communities, the business has also heavily invested in the environment, staff training and innovation.
Westaway Sausages picked up the award for the Small Processing Business of the Year whilst Moy Park picked up a second award for Young Processor of the Year - Aaron Whiteman.
