Man reveals sausage addiction

27 May, 2011

A London accountant has revealed how he has spent £2,000 to kick his addiction to sausages.

David Harding, a father of three has had counselling and hypnotherapy to try to kick his 13-bangers-a-day habit, but to no avail.

He said: “I genuinely cannot bear the thought of living without sausages. Drug addicts crave their medicine of choice, and it’s the same for me – except that my drug is a banger.”

His love affair began when he was five and he has eaten at least one every day since. It costs him about £700 a year to feed his habit and he has bought a deep chest freezer to store the vast quantities of his favourite – McWhinney’s Irish pork sausages.
