Morrisons to stock Levi Roots meat sandwiches
Published:  08 September, 2010

Food entrepreneur Levi Roots has signed a deal to stock his range of meat-based sandwiches in 178 of Morrisons’ stores nationwide.

Made famous from television’s Dragons’ Den, Roots is said to have developed an exciting range of sandwiches to add a touch of Caribbean sunshine to people’s lunchtimes.

The range includes sandwiches, wraps and sub rolls, which have been developed by the man himself. They include Jerk Steak Sub, Cheese Cheese Sandwich, Jerk Chicken & Mango Sandwich and Chicken & Pineapple Wrap – all offering a ‘twist’ on the traditional by drawing on Roots’ Caribbean influence and using flavours from his range of sauces.

By developing the sandwiches using unique flavours influenced from Jamaica, the range is said to ‘put some music in your food’ with its inclusion of spices. The four flavours are available in 178 Morrisons supermarkets, with prices starting at £1.59.

Levi Roots shot to fame after appearing on Dragons’ Den and subsequently launched his range of Reggae Reggae sauces. He has since appeared on his own TV show, written cookbooks and extended his range of food products.
